Congratulations
The winner of last months “just what is it?” competition was announced recently. As becomes clear on the zoom out, it is none other than Preston base Lee Pepperell, well the back of his head anyway. A special prize in on its way to Iris Scuttle; a retired “nit nurse” who coincidentally hails from the Pepster’s home town of Bexley in Kent. Well done Iris

Postcard from Egypt
Just when you thought it was safe to get back in the water…du de du de du de..no, it’s not Jaws, not even a Nile crocodile (but equally as predatory where women are concerned) it’s Oakshott schmoozmeister Bernie Wardle. Simmal’s answer to Leslie Phillips, Bernie looked in “tip top” condition resplendent in sequinned mankini lapping up the rays, and the attention, poolside in Taba Heights recently, Definitely one for the ladies.
