Global warming?..not at the Home of Aluminium

Global warming?..not at the Home of Aluminium

Our cross site campaign to promote energy conservation, through the winter months proved to be an exceptional success this winter. John and Sue Simmons (pictured left) are seen visiting the Yorkshire site recently to mark the contributions made by all the staff in heating reduction costs…

Girls 1-0 Blokes

Girls 1-0 Blokes

Three generations of the Simmons family recently descended on the River Tweed in search of the salmon John West didn’t net….Insider tells me only one person managed to catch one, and the Spanish Inquisition with their combined weapons of fear, surprise and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope couldn’t drag the name of that person from me. “A fiver ooh err …that will do nicely” congratulations Sue, and apparently you were only taken to carry the bait boxes. For all who came back empty netted, please see picture left which apparently is a fish.

Who`s a pretty boy then???

Who`s a pretty boy then???

Dewsbury bad boy, nasty Nick Ramsden went over board at the annual Yorkshire branch Easter Bonnet competition recently. Our Dewsbury correspondent Leigh Manning reported Nick approached the event with an evangelical almost worrying degree of enthusiasm, before making a clean sweep of the prize board. Nick won praise for both his use of strong Freudian colours, contemporising sub Saharan African culture integrated with an almost uncanny ability to accessorise. Nick can be seen at Christmas playing both the ugly sisters in the Dewsbury Players annual Christmas Panto Cinderella.
