Does the perfect man exist?

Great personal humility prevents me from entering this particular competition but at Simmal we all know the answer is yes, and that the person in question is Ellis Cheers. Ellis is one of those rare if not unique people who makes the world a better place, by just being himself. We all know he is special, and are all touched by things he does, a degree of perfection that makes the rest of the men here feel less adequate, but in a nice way. Even by his standards the bar was raised yet again when to mark Neil O Connell’s retirement, he took it on himself to write to Sir Alex Ferguson. Now like many celebrities Sir Alex will get thousands of similar letters a week, but having read Ellis’s touching testimony to Neil it is no surprise to me that this was the one that solicted so generous a written response from the great Scot.
