Fashion update from the Home of Aluminium



People will remember Faye Bamber who we supported on her "That Dress" project last year. Faye produced high end stunning outfits in creating possibly the world’s first 100% recyclable clothing item. Faye has continued to excel in her fashion studies, and as a result of another competition triumph, is currently being featured throughout summer at the Future of Fashion Exhibition at Orleans House Gallery Twickenham. Careful sharp bend ahead

Developments in the office furniture industry have seen a migration towards curves and bends in traditional screening. However when faced with the prospect of doing a multi cavity hanging rail with the emphasis on shape retention, boundaries were indeed pushed. This called upon all the design expertise at Simmal to establish a shape that would both function and form. Subtle changes to the extrusion shape were introduced and rapidly sampled in 3 days. Soft low cost tooling was produced to cover the varying form radii. End product, pictured left surpassed the brief, and more importantly generated a very satisfied customer

Hitting the shelves in the next couple of weeks will be the August Edition of the widely circulated Lancashire Magazine. This will cover our 25th Anniverary dinner and an insight in to what we do and how we do it. Sales are expected to eclipse those of Hello and OK even with the Brangolina baby pics, so get your copy on order. Available at all good newsagents from 26th July.
